Owl is a local hidden gem to go to after a night of drinking. They are open well into the morning hours of the night which makes this place a wonderful spot to go after the bars close. Purchased the chicken sandwich and it was in my opinion very good. It also helped that I was pretty hungry from drinking which made the sandwich taste like a angel was touching my tongue.

This place is legit! The food is awesome. It's not a large menu, so it's not overwhelming. It's Mexican food with a twist. That cinnamon milk drink (I believe it's called Horchata) is flippin' amaze-balls!!!

I'm a vegetarian and I wish they had more vegetarian options. I've recently tried the veggie tacos and I really enjoyed them. I have non vegetarian family members that come from out of state to visit and when they come they always eat at the O.W.L.

They close an hour earlier than google says.. but they have good fries

Pretty good tacos here. The styles varies day to day. The chicken fried chicken was great. Nice gravy, excellent crust. Perfect eggs. Service is friendly and prices are very fair. Order at register and then have a seat. It does get crowded for weekend breakfast!

Such a great find. Always pretty busy but their tacos and burgers are wonderful. We love their cheese fries but I’d try to order the cheese on the side if you don’t want it to be a cheese soup!

The best chicken sandwich of my life. I'm only in town for a few days and I've eaten it twice. It helps that they offer takeout and it's within walking distance. Mask up. Take out options or a lone table outside which was great. Full menu of veg options as well. Not to be missed.

The food tastes good I had the chicken fried chicken meal (not the sandwich) it was great plenty of food at a good price too! Service was also good I will definitely recommend and return

Would love to give 5 stars, but they need to adjust their prices on the sandwiches. While all are great, $13 for a bacon cheeseburger that doesn't come with fries is a little absurd from a diner - especially when an add-on fry is $4!! I'll just continue to go to One Eyed Betty's for my burgers at $14 with a mountain of fries. That is... Until OWL includes fries.

O.W.L. is a great spot for just about any meal of the day. They don't have an extensive menu, but the few dishes I have had are great. My personal favorites are the nachos and the chicken fried chicken.

I used to love this place. Best fries I’ve ever had, and then they changed their fries. They used to be curly fries but now they are thick potato wedge style, completely ruined it.After a response from the owner that they now have both types of fries, I am happy to change my review back to 5 stars.

Skinny fries on chilli fries is not the best. Delicious none the less. We loved the hip crowd as well.

Great 24 hour place for anytime eats. Good price and food comes out quick. Was impressed that I received my order within minutes on a busy Friday night. Had the chicken fried chicken breakfast, the sopa de pollo, chilaquiles, and my wife had the nachos. The cucumber lime drink was easily one of the most refreshing drinks I've had.

The food is excellent. Always been that way from the first time I came until this morning when I was last there. I eat at the O.W.L. 1-3 times a week. The food is awesome and the people working there are the best. Friendly professional and knowledgeable about all the menu items. I absolutely love this place. I usually go there around 5am during weekdays.

Love this place, some limited seating but the food is awesome the staff is great and the prices are very reasonable.And if you get a chance have a grilled cinnamon roll!

Asia is a fantastic worker. 24 hours but the service and food is always delicious. Come before the bars close but a super short wait. Friendly staff.

One of the best Mexican(and some fusion) food we have had in Detroit metro area. But oh wow the food was so good. Try chilaquilles- loaded nachos. The nachos were fresh and oh so good. And the chicken soup was full of flavors. Even the chicken wings were right on point. Loved loved loved the food.beat part is it is 24 hr diner themed. That leaves less seating and parking but I am ok with that. Definitely on our frequent visit list.

Small place, small menu. Excellent food, excellent service. Loved the bacon burger, the potatoes and the choco flan. Perfect for brunch!

I don't come here often because it always looks crowded, but for good reason! The food is very good. Tonight I had the chilaquiles...they were good, but I prefer their avocado toast and tacos. My daughter had the grilled cinnamon roll and loved it.

OWL is always delicious!!! Their nachos are one of my favorite dishes I’ve had at a restaurant, but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The only downside is it is a very small restaurant, so there can be a wait for seating. However, their carry out is also a great option!

Listen... I’ve driven past this place sooo many times and decided to get late night wings. The staff were incredibly kind and the buffalo wings were slappin!!! Tonight, we got macha, buffalo, AND dry rub wings. All delicious, but our favorite is the spicy buffalo. I also got a cheeseburger (also tasty) and the mango dessert... spicy, flavorful, and so yummy. It’s different than your usual sweet dessert, but I will definitely get it again. If you haven’t been to OWL yet, you’re missing out. Oh... and did I mention the staff are awesome?!

Absolutely the best Mexican restaurant around. It is a small, quaint building. Not a lot of seating. Worth the wait. They are open 24 hours six days a week. Sunday, they close earlier. The tacos are absolutely phenomenal! Everything that comes out of that kitchen is five stars. I am blown away with the quality, and taste of their food. The service is amazing. The staff is very kind. FIVE STARS!

Great diner! Everything on the menu is great. Personally my go to is the chilaquiles and the chicken fried chicken. If you have an extra minute stop my the tropical fishpond and take a look at the amazing birds

Awesome! Love the chicken fried chicken it was the best, just do it, incredible seasonings. Large portions, so you can split it. Also if your diabetic and avoid cinnamon rolls like the plague but have one only once a year, that once a year should be here. Again, they are big enough to share.

The food is amazing, full of flavor and wonderfully made. The best pickled onions I've ever had. I'm already planning a reason to go back soon. They also were great about our allergies and super friendly. The Hibiscus tea is wonderful.

Maybe the best little diner West of New York and East of California. Chicken Fried Chicken with gravy. Chilequiles. Cinnamon rolls. If you’re within 30 miles of the place, get there.

Chicken wings are good. Everything else is meh. I had one of the worst tacos here. They were so bland. I guess of you were drunk you won't taste the different

Consistently great diner-type food with a Mexican twist. Must haves: the chili, chicken fried chicken and gravy, and the cilantro potatoes. Parking is right off of Woodward and tiny so that can be a bit of a challenge. Get in here!

Owl used to be good. i’m not sure if they changed owners or something but i noticed that the quality of their food went down. this place used to be so good for the last couple times i came here, i noticed that the food isn’t what i used to be.

We love this place. Small diner feel with outstanding menu, great food. Mexican meets breakfast. Fresh nachos made while you wait, rotating tacos of the day, very cool folks.

This place is great! Staff are super nice, portions are perfect and man it all tastes so good! Their macha sauce is heaven, their grilled cinnamon bun is worth it's own Instagram account.
